Aleyna YİĞİT

Designer & Curator

I was born in 1997 in Bursa, Turkey. I work as a designer at the intersection of architecture, furniture, and material curation.

My design perspective is rooted in urban thinking. I hold a bachelor’s degree in City and Regional Planning from Dokuz Eylül University, followed by a master’s degree in City Planning from Istanbul Technical University. This academic background trained me to read space at multiple scales — from the city to the interior — and to approach design as a system rather than a collection of objects.

Rather than treating furniture as standalone pieces, I focus on how each element relates to circulation, proportion, material continuity, and long-term use. My design decisions are informed as much by spatial logic and context as by aesthetics.

At Expolisi, I curate and develop furniture and architectural products specifically for residential and hospitality projects. I collaborate closely with architects throughout the specification and execution phases, ensuring that selected pieces support the architectural intent and perform coherently within the overall spatial framework.

My role spans material research, product detailing, and project-based coordination — bridging conceptual design with buildable, real-world solutions.

For me, design is not about adding layers, but about making precise decisions that allow architecture to lead.
